Invest Direct is launching a subscription-based private equity platform, it announced on Wednesday.
The Geneva-based company’s offering allows qualified investors unrestricted access to all of its investment opportunities for an annual subscription fee of CHF 10,800. The offers are selected by a committee of 21 industry experts and validated by a board of seven entrepreneurs.
Investors can assess the company’s documentation and then directly contact the management and make offers on the platform.
The platform also provides a free investor relations service for companies listed on it. Invest Direct said it would be a valuable option for clients of banks, wealth managers and family offices.
Invest Direct founder and CEO Frank Levy (pictured) said: ‘There is currently a strong unmet demand for direct investments in unlisted companies.
‘Until now, investors have only had the option of investing through funds. This is not only expensive and illiquid, but also fails to meet their deepest aspirations: To move away from investments that have become too virtual to invest in the real economy. We want them to be able to enter the capital of tangible and promising companies.
‘Invest Direct allows them to actively participate in the success of tomorrow’s leaders.’
Last month, a wealth manager in Geneva announced it has partnered with private equity fintech Moonfare.
